On 29 October 2014, approximately 200 delegates attended our third annual In-House Counsel Conference held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
The half day event focused on topical issues in the Hong Kong and China legal markets. This year’s sessions were titled: Hong Kong’s New Competition Law – boom or bust for Hong Kong’s local businesses; Managing the challenges in an increasingly complex environment; Email scams and other frauds; and The first 6 months of the new Companies Ordinance; lawyers' and accountants' perspectives.
Speakers ranged from Deacons’ partners to well-established in-house counsel from multinational companies. We would like to express our thanks to all the presenters and panellists for their contribution in making the event such a success, including our guests Philip Monaghan, Hong Kong Competition Commission, Katherine Abrat, Goldman Sachs, Judith Crosbie-Chen, Logitech, and Nigel Dealy, PwC. We would also like to thank those who attended on the day for their support and active participation.
