Private Equity Deal of the Year, Hong Kong Firm of the Year

We are delighted to announce that Deacons won Private Equity Deal of the Year and Hong Kong Firm of the Year at the IFLR Asia Awards 2017.

Hosted in Hong Kong on March 2nd, the annual IFLR Asia Awards recognise innovative and top-tier legal work performed by private-practice and in-house attorneys in the region. The IFLR awards cover finance & insolvency, investment funds and corporate finance work.

Deacons picked up the Private Equity Deal of the year for advice on The Wharf’s HK$9.5 billion sale of its telecoms unit to two private equity firms. Deacons’ cross practice team was led by corporate finance head Ronny Chow, and supported by associates Maynard Leung and Doris Leung. The transaction also involved the real estate, intellectual property, litigation and corporate services practices.
