Lilian Chiang and Charmaine Koo both winners at prestigious Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2013

We are delighted to announce that Lilian Chiang, Head of Property Department and Charmaine Koo, Head of Commercial IP were winners at the Asia Women in Business Law Awards on Wednesday, 20 November. Lilian was awarded “Best in Real Estate” while Charmaine was awarded “Best in IP Litigation”.

A number of other Deacons partners were shortlisted in other categories:

• Banking and finance: Susan Gordon, Partner of Corporate Commercial Department 
• IP Litigation: Catherine Zheng, Partner of IP Department 
• Labour & Employment: Cynthia Chung, Partner of Corporate Commercial Department 
• TMT: Charmaine Koo, Head of Commercial IP and Entertainment and Media Practice Groups 
• Rising star-finance: Su Cheen Chuah, , Partner of Corporate Commercial Department 
• Rising star-IP: Patsy Lau, Partner of IP Department 

The keynote speech was given by the Honourable Anna Wu, chairperson of the Competition Commission who was also awarded a lifetime achievement award.

The Asia Women in Business Law Awards recognise leading female lawyers in Asia. It is supported by the Women’s Foundation, Inter-Pacific Bar Association and Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association.
