Intellectual property co-head, , recently spoke at International Law Office (ILO)’s Asia-Pacific Counsel Roundtable and presented at the following awards ceremony. The event took place on Thursday, 19 March at the China Club in Hong Kong.
Charmaine discussed “Practical Tips for Employing a Global Compliance Programme in Local Markets” at the roundtable. It was an invitation-only event for nominees of the ILO Asia-Pacific Counsel Awards which celebrates the achievements of in-house counsel. The event brings together a select audience of leading in-house counsel to learn, discuss and network in a relaxed, yet dynamic forum. More than 30 in-house counsel from organisations such as Microsoft, LG and Morgan Stanley participated in the discussion
The roundtable was followed by a cocktail reception and gala dinner where Charmaine made a welcome speech and presented several awards, including Competition and General Commercial practice. The ILO Awards are held in conjunction with the Association of Corporate Counsel to reward in-house counsel for demonstrable achievements across the full spectrum of in-house responsibility, not simply those who have acted on high-profile transactions. Over 90 guests attended the dinner and awards ceremony, including senior counsel and managers from Burberry, Credit Suisse, Intel Corp, LG, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Prada and Standard Chartered.
Following the evening, Charmaine was invited to join ILO’s International Panel of Legal Experts for IP and Media & Entertainment exclusively for Hong Kong.
