Asian Legal Business (ALB), a Thomson Reuters publication, has just released its Intellectual Property Rankings 2016.
We are delighted to announce that Deacons is ranked in the top tier for both Patent and Trademark/Copyright work in Hong Kong. The editorial highlights our work for Tsit Wing (Hong Kong) Company Limited, the largest coffee and tea distributor in Hong Kong, in its landmark trademark dispute against TWG Tea Company. Moving onto China, Deacons has moved up to Tier 1 for trademark/copyright matters and is ranked Tier 2 for patent work.
In creating the rankings, ALB drew information from firm submissions, interviews, editorial resources and market recommendations. The rankings were based on the firm’s visibility and profile in the region, the volume, complexity and size of work undertaken, key personnel hires and growth of the practice group, key clients and key client wins, as well as the presence across Asia and in individual jurisdictions.
Deacons’ intellectual property practice has been consistently recognised for its track record of leading cases and seamless service across Hong Kong and China. This follows our earlier success at the Managing IP Global Awards 2016 where we were named “Hong Kong Firm of the Year” for the second consecutive year.
