Annie Tsoi and Charmaine Koo, co-heads of the intellectual property group at Deacons recently spoke at the influential Business of IP Asia Forum event. Also presenting was senior associate and registered patent attorney Jeffrey McLean.
Annie spoke on issues relating to IP Management and Protection in Mainland China as part of the IP Manager Training Programme, while Charmaine presented on the Management and Exploitation of Copyright and Designs. She also emceed the Licensing Executives Society (LES) panel. Jeff presented on wearable technologies and the resulting implications on intellectual property.
Jointly organised by the HKSAR Government, Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong Design Centre, BIP Asia brings together IP professionals and business leaders from all over the world to discuss the latest developments in the IP world, and to explore business collaboration opportunities.
Building on the success of the previous editions, the fifth edition of the forum featured over 80 prominent speakers and attracted more than 2,000 IP professionals and industry players.
