, head of the licensing, compliance and regulatory team, recently gave a seminar at BlackRock's Hong Kong office on Monday, 9 February. The seminar was aimed at helping the company get ready for the March 2016 Hong Kong Professional Investor Regime by explaining the upcoming changes in detail.
BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager by AUM of US$4.652 trillion (as of 31 Dec 2014), sought our expertise in this area to understand the implications of these recent SFC developments and relevant regulatory movements within the industry. The seminar covered various aspects of the new PI Regime, including developments in conduct regulation and investor protections, all of which will potentially impact BlackRock’s operations.
The seminar was well attended by over 50 people, mainly from BlackRock’s sales and marketing team, and the presentation included a Q&A session.
