KK Cheung awarded Client Choice Award for Excellence in Construction

We are delighted to announce that K.K. Cheung has been awarded a Client Choice award for excellence in construction.

The Client Choice awards are organised by publisher, International Law Office (ILO). The awards recognise those partners around the world that stand apart for the excellent client service they provide. The criteria for the awards focus on the ability to add real value to clients’ business, above and beyond other players in the market. Uniquely, these awards survey senior corporate counsel only, with this year’s winners chosen from a pool of more than 2,000 individual client assessments.

Construction partners recognised as In-House Community Commended External Counsel of the Year 2017

K.K. Cheung and Joseph Chung, were recently recognised as an In-House Community Commended External Counsel of the Year for 2017.

Organised by, In House Community, the survey is based entirely on the votes and testimonials of in-house counsel. In the editorial, senior in-house counsel recognised K.K. for being “professional, experienced and well-prepared” and Joseph was recommended as “always quick to respond and at a fair fee”.

Deacons wins China Business Law Award for Construction & Infrastructure

We are pleased to announce that Deacons has won a Construction & Infrastructure award alongside the accolade of Hong Kong Firm of the Year by China Business Law Journal.

This is the second time our construction practice has won this award and the third consecutive year we have been named Hong Kong Law Firm of the Year.

China Business Law Journal’s China Business Law Awards are based on hundreds of nominations received from China-focused corporate counsel and legal professionals around the world. In determining the winners, the nominations (and the justifications provided for each nomination) were considered carefully in combination with other factors, such as each firm’s landmark deals, cases and other notable achievements over the past year.

The publication also consulted widely with law firm clients and conducted a large number of interviews to ascertain the level of satisfaction with the services provided by each firm.
