Scott Carnachan was quoted in HFM Weekly discussing how Hong Kong is increasingly moving towards a model of greater transparency and communication between companies and shareholders.
The SFC is conducting a consultation on principles of responsible ownership, with the consultation set to close on 2 June.
“On a longer time scale, these kinds of regulations could lead to more activist investors because the SFC is encouraging this approach,” said Scott.
