Machiuanna specialises in cross-border M&As, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, and investment structure and advisory. She is a Certified Information Privacy Professional/Asia.

Machiuanna counsels companies in a diverse spectrum of industries including energy and resources, asset management, property development, and product manufacturing and distribution. She also advises private equity and hedge funds on joint ventures and corporate restructuring. Machiuanna regularly advises clients on protection of shareholders' interests, corporate governance and structuring of multinational business operations.

Machiuanna also advises on foreign direct investment in the PRC including investment structures, establishment of foreign investment enterprises, labour issues, property issues, sino-foreign fund management joint ventures, corporate restructuring and investment exits in the PRC. She also counselled various property developers on acquisition of land use rights in the PRC, project development, and sale and purchase of property development and hotel projects in the PRC.

Machiuanna is the Chief Representative of Deacons' Guangzhou Office since 2012.

Advised Zijin Mining, a Hong Kong-listed state-owned enterprise and China's largest gold producer by market value, in relation to the joint venture with Canadian-listed asset manager Sprott Inc. in establishing a co-managed global mining fund.

Advised a major real estate developer in Hong Kong to purchase a 5-star hotel in the CBD of Chengdu, China.

Advised an insurance fund in a HK$2 billion share subscription for investing in a property development project in Hangzhou, PRC.

Advised Cordea Savills in the business alliance with Merchant Capital, a real estate-focused Japanese merchant bank in Japan.

Advised Movenpick in the establishment of the joint venture with Swire on food and beverage distribution in Hong Kong and China.
