Emmy is a Counsel in the HK & International Trade Marks Group within the intellectual property practice. She is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England and Wales (non-practising) and holds a LL.B and a PCLL from The University of Hong Kong.
Emmy specialises in trade mark protection in Hong Kong, Europe, the U.S. and other Asian countries since 2006. She handles the management of international and regional trade mark portfolios for many multinational clients. Her practice includes Hong Kong and international trade mark advice, filing and prosecution, opposition and cancellation proceedings, including appeals before the High Court.
Emmy advises on brand clearance, portfolio management and conducts portfolio audit/reviews. She assists clients on negotiations of co-existence agreements in connection with trade mark rights, and conducts due diligence on IP transactions. Her clients include Italian luxury brands, a Japanese tea and beverage company, a Japanese health drink manufacturer and a French pharmaceutical company. Emmy has presented a number of seminars to clients and SMEs on trade mark and other issues.
