Deacons 170^th Anniversary NFT – Terms & Conditions

The Deacons 170^th Anniversary non-fungible token (“the NFT”) celebrates Deacons’ (“the firm”) diverse talent pool and is a tribute to Hong Kong and to the communities the firm has been a part of for over 17 decades.

By registering for the NFT, you agree to be bounded by the below terms and conditions:

1. 1. The NFT is complimentary and free-of-charge.
   2. Registration for the NFT opens on 17 May 2022. To be eligible for registration, you need to follow the Deacons official account on either LinkedIn or WeChat.

      Share the Deacons 170th Anniversary NFT post on your LinkedIn profile with hashtag #Deacons170NFT and take a screenshot OR, share the Deacons 170th Anniversary NFT post on your WeChat Moments and take a screenshot. Fill-in the registration form and upload the screenshot. The NFT will be dropped into your digital wallet once the registration details have been verified. Recipients will be notified in June 2022 via email.

   3. In case of any dispute over the distribution and/or allocation of the NFT or any other aspects of this campaign, Deacons’ decisions shall be final and conclusive and binding on all the parties concerned.
   4. Recipients will be notified via email upon verification of their details and eligibility.
   5. Due to the limited edition nature of the NFT, only one NFT per digital wallet will be issued.
   6. If you do not have a digital wallet that has the compatibility to receive the NFT, we would recommend using HashKey Me for the best user experience. Please refer to the step-by-step video guide under “digital wallet setup” on how to set up a HashKey Me Wallet (for users in Hong Kong). Otherwise, your allocation of the NFT may be forfeited without prior notice.
   7. The NFT can be sold or traded in the secondary market, however the owner (holder of the Deacons NFT) will be responsible for any charges and fees associated with such sale or transfer. Deacons will not be responsible for any fees associated with further transfers.
   8. You confirm that you have the legal capacity to receive and hold and make use of the NFT under the applicable laws.
   9. If you are allocated the NFT, while you own the NFT to which the Deacons 170th Anniversary mosaic art (“Artwork”) is linked, you will have a worldwide, perpetual, exclusive, transferable license to publicly display the Artwork as a whole for your own personal, non-commercial purposes but only in connection with and linked to the associated NFT. You will have no other rights in and to the Artwork, including no rights to copy, prepare derivative works of or distribute the Artwork in any way in whole or in part. You further acknowledge and agree your ownership of the NFT does not convey any right to any physical embodiment of the Artwork, any underlying materials in or to such Artwork or any intellectual property rights in any of the foregoing, including copyrights, trademark rights or rights of publicity.
   10. You agree not to copy or modify the Artwork or NFT.
   11. The NFT and Artwork are issued on “as is” and on an “as available” basis. We are specifically disclaiming all implied warranties as to the NFT and Artwork you may obtain from this campaign, including any implied warranties as to title, merchantability or fitness for purpose to the extent permissible by applicable laws.
   12. You understand and agree that that there are risks related to owning NFT. You expressly acknowledge and assume all risks for the ownership by you of any NFT. We will not issue any new NFT or re-issue the NFT in case you lose your NFT for whatever reasons.
