We are seeking a high calibre and experienced paralegal to join our Commercial Litigation Practice Group. The role is to provide legal support to lawyers within the practice group, including document review and indexing, research, preparation of court documents and bundles, drafting simple correspondence, liaising with clients and third parties, and translation work.
The role will be providing legal support to the Funds team and will include but not limited to the following duties:
The primary objective of this role is to advise financial services clients, and in particular fund managers, in relation to their Hong Kong SFC licensing requirements and to handle the preparation, processing and follow up of SFC license applications. Some secretarial support will be available for the position.
The successful candidate will also need to be able to interact with clients and contacts as a “trusted compliance advisor” and to develop and maintain good relationships with relevant persons at the SFC.
The successful candidate will need to maintain a flexible approach and be able to accommodate new and varied work flows. At times may be required to assist on other regulatory and compliance matters within the compliance unit.
