Deacons has one of Hong Kong’s leading Intellectual Property practices. Our Patents & Designs Practice Group is seeking a highly motivated, bright and dynamic patent attorney/lawyer with relevant experience gained from working at an established law firm or Patent Agency.  The successful candidate will be involved in handling all aspects of patent work, from drafting and prosecution to opposition and enforcement in Hong Kong and/or China (PRC). Science or engineering background is required.

Applicants should be fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua/Cantonese).

We are seeking a Hong Kong qualified solicitor with at least 3 years' post qualification experience in handling matters in relation to sale and purchase of shares. The successful candidate will involve (but not limited to) in drafting and preparation of share sale and purchase agreements, conducting due diligence exercise, preparation of due diligence reports, board resolutions and share transfer documentation; and liaising with clients.


Applicants should have solid experience in handling commercial works. Good communication skills in English and Chinese.

Applicants must be Hong Kong admitted, possess solid technical legal skills and have had exposure to a variety of commercial litigation. The successful applicant will work closely with a team of experienced lawyers and have the opportunity to get involved in challenging and high quality work. Applicants must have excellent spoken and written English and Chinese language skills. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage, but not essential.

Our dynamic Corporate Commercial Group has opening for lawyers at senior level with at least 5 years of post-qualification experiences.

Our conveyancing practice is diversified and our clientele includes major property developers, renowned local and international banking and financial institutions, private and listed companies.

We will consider applicants who have solid experience to handle conveyancing work including but not limited to leasing, tenancy agreements, sale and purchase of properties, mortgages, depending on the candidate's experience.
