Deacons recognised as a Caring Company for 8th consecutive year

Deacons has once again been recognised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services for our commitment to caring for our employees, community and the environment and we are delighted to have received the  5 Years + Caring Company Award for the 8th consecutive year.

Giving back to the community has always been an integral part of Deacons’ culture and we encourage everyone in the firm to continue to support the community activities we regularly organise. From giving pro bone advice to supporting charities, there are always lots of initiatives for people at all levels of the firm to get involved in.  As Hong Kong’s largest and oldest independent law firm, we aim to lead by example. Through community projects, volunteering and supporting educational, environmental and health and wellbeing programmes, we strive to positively influence and benefit the wider community in which we operate. This award is the result of the talent, passion, creativity and dedication of our corporate volunteers and our community partners

Deacons was nominated for the award by three NGOs: the Agency for Volunteer Service, the Hans Andersen Club and Hong Chi Association.

Launched by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme aims to cultivate corporate citizenship by promoting strategic partnerships among businesses and social services partners.  Each year awards are presented to recognise organisations with outstanding involvement in corporate social responsibility programmes.
