Best National Firm for Talent Management

We are delighted to announce that Deacons was awarded “Best National Firm for Talent Management” and “Hong Kong Independent Firm of the Year” at the Asia Women in Business Law Awards, held by Euromoney’s Legal Media Group.

The Asia Women in Business Law Awards recognise leading female lawyers in Asia and celebrate the best initiatives for gender diversity, innovation, minority women, mentoring, work-life balance, pro bono work and talent management.  

It is supported by the Women’s Foundation, Inter-Pacific Bar Association and the Hong Kong Corporate Counsel Association.

This is the first time that the Deacons Academy talent management programme has been recognised. Since the launch of Deacons Academy in August 2015, there have been over 20 workshops, with over 570 participants clocking up a total of 1,491 training hours, offered to all levels of lawyers across all 5 pillars, namely, People Engagement, Business Development, Commercial Acumen, Personal Qualities and Risk Management. We are very pleased to see these efforts acknowledged and accredited by the judging panel.  

The awards ceremony took place on Wednesday, November 11th at the JW Marriott in Hong Kong.Charmaine Koo, co-head of the intellectual property group and Nina Fitzgerald, Senior Associate attended.
