Deacons Financial Services practice assists CSOP to list the CSOP Hang Seng Index ETF

Deacons’ Financial Services team has assisted CSOP Asset Management on the listing of an exchange traded fund (ETF) tracking Hong Kong’s broad-based Hang Seng Index (HSI).  

The ETF commenced trading on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 6 May 2021. Although there are other ETFs that track the HSI, this new product provides an alternative to global investors in view of the issues arising from the US sanctions on certain companies, as it adopts a full replication methodology that includes every constituent stock within the HSI.

CSOP Asset Management is the first Chinese offshore asset management company established in Hong Kong and known as an ETF leader in Asia. CSOP manages public and private funds, and provides investment advisory services to Asian and global investors.
