Deacons’ Financial Services team assisted CSOP to debut first ETFs in Hong Kong-Mainland cross-listing scheme

Deacons assisted CSOPAsset Managementwith one of the first two exchange traded funds (ETFs) to be authorized by the SFC and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under the new Hong Kong-Mainland cross-listing scheme. The fund is CSOP Yinhua CSI 5G Communications Theme ETF.

The scheme will allow Hong Kong investors to gain access to ETFs listed in Mainland China and allow Mainland investors to gain access to ETFs listed in Hong Kong.

This is a much anticipated development and the new ETF will strengthen Hong Kong’s position as Asia’s leading ETF centre, providing investors with a broader spectrum of product choices through access to the Mainland market.
