Deacons wins in the 2018 Asia Women in Business Law Awards

We are delighted to announce Deacons has won the "Hong Kong Independent Firm of the Year" award at the Euromoney Asia Women in Business Law Awards 2018. This is the 5th consecutive year Deacons has been awarded this highly regarded accolade.

Charmaine Koo, co-head of the IP department was recognised for her work in IP litigation and was awarded the "Best in IP Litigation" prize in the individual awards category.

The prestigious awards, the only of its type in Asia for the legal industry, celebrate the achievements of women in the legal profession throughout the region.

Dora Si, partner in the IP department and Teresa Lau, partner in the Finance & Insolvency department, represented the firm at the awards ceremony, which took place at the Shangri-La on 8 November.

Partners Catherine Zheng, Teresa Lau and Patsy Lau were all shortlisted in various individual award categories, while Deacons as a firm was shortlisted for best mentoring programme, best national firm for women in business law and best national firm for work-life balance.
