Hong Kong’s stock exchange calls for user friendly listing IPO documents from overly anxious sponsors

Ronny Chow, co-head of the corporate finance group, recently contributed an article to Finance Asia regarding the HKSE’s call for more user friendly listing IPO documents.

In February of this year, the HKSE released a new Listing Document Simplification Guide, which explains, by way of background, that the exchange is concerned Hong Kong listing documents are overly long and complex, making it difficult for investors to find and understand the information they need to make a properly informed assessment.

The article focused on how initiatives to improve the overall quality and standards of Hong Kong listing documents are indeed necessary and desirable for the healthy development of our capital markets.
