Deacons recognised as a Caring Company for 5 years consecutively

We are proud to announce that Deacons has been presented with a 5 Year + Caring Company Award by the Hong Kong Council of Social Services.  The award is in recognition of the firm's commitment to caring for our employees, community and environment and this is the fifth consecutive year that we have received this recognition.

As Hong Kong’s oldest independent law firm, we have long recognised the importance of giving back to our community. We encourage everyone at all levels of the firm to play an active role in community activities ranging from giving pro bono advice to supporting local charities.

We are delighted to have  the dedication of our lawyers and staff recognised by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.  Deacons was nominated for the award by two community partners, namely the Hans Andersen Club and the Hong Chi Association. 

As an established and experienced law firm in Hong Kong, we aim to lead by example.  Whether through community projects, volunteering or support of educational or environmental programmes, we aim to affect positive influence widely and build an inclusive community wherever we do business.  This award is the result of the talent, passion, creativity and dedication of our corporate volunteers and our community partners.

Launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme aims at cultivating good corporate citizenship with the mission of building a cohesive society by promoting strategic partnerships among business and social service partners and inspiring corporate social responsibility through caring for the community, employees and the environment.  Awards are presented each year to recognise organisations with outstanding involvement in corporate social responsibility programmes. 

This award follows a year of successes for our corporate social responsibility programmes. The firm previously featured on Asian Legal Business’s annual CSR ListCitizenship Award at The Asian Lawyer Asia Legal Awards in 2015 in relation to our ABCs of Law programme in conjunction with the Hans Andersen Club.
